A Little About me

Who I am, What I do

Barbara Trentalange is a musician and visual artist residing in Seattle, WA with her husband and daughter. She re-discovered the love of painting after her daughter was born in 2010. As a former Graphic Designer, Trentalange combines her graphic design sensibilities and fine artistic styling to create unique works of art. Her work has been displayed in solo shows around Seattle and featured in the Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square and Ballard art walks as well as displayed at Sounder’s clubhouse theNINETY.

Barbara specializes in large format acrylic portraiture and is largely commission-based. For more information on her work or to inquire about a portrait commission, please go to the contact page on this site.

Commission Me!

My Process

Step one

I come to you and take a series of photos. For portraits with more than one person, I take individual shots to capture the best expression of each person/pet. Photo sessions usually take about an hour depending on the size and organization of the group. The photo session is included in the price of the final piece.

Step Two

Before I begin to paint, I will send a photo composite of the final portrait layout for approval. Once approved, the painting will take between 2-4 weeks to complete depending on the final size of the piece.

Step Three

If you would prefer to submit your own photos, click here to see my photo requirements to ensure you get the most out of your portrait. Contact me to inquire about a custom portrait for you.

Sign up for my mailing list

Sign up for my mailing list to be the first to know about limited edition print sales and the yearly calendar sign-up for portrait sessions. Space is very limited, so be one of the first to know so you can have a very special moment painted for you. By signing up for my mailing list (I promise, no spam) you will receive notifications, for insiders only, of when I will be selling limited-edition prints of my original work. I also send an email once a year, only to my subscribers, to have access to my sign-up for portrait work. I only do 20 portraits a year, so being in the know of when the yearly sign-up is, may secure you a spot!
